She has also earned several awards and is recognised for her special reports, especially in championing human interests stories.
Melissa was also selected for the renowned Edward Murrow Leadership Programme and travelled to Washington DC, Minnesota, Florida, & New York City to sharpen her skills as a versatile news anchor, & journalist.
Melissa’s career stints include her role as an anchor and broadcast journalist for MediaPrima and later moved on to Astro AWANI where she worked as an Editor, Anchor, and Senior Associate. Currently, she is a freelance news anchor for BernamaTV. She anchors the Malay language bulletin and also hosts the station’s current affairs shows - The Brief & The Nation in English.
With skills encompassing television, journalism, marketing communications, public relations, and digital marketing; Melissa is a consummate professional in the media and communications industry.
